TATALI NAPURRULA

This painting depicts the rocky hills and Sandhills surrounding the rockhole site of Pinpirri (Desert Bore), north of the Kintore Community. A group of women came to this site from the south to perform ceremonies. While in the area they gathered the edible tubers known as pitjara or desert yam. They later continued their travels a long way further north.
