An emerging artist, Tanya is quickly gaining recognition for her talent was a finalist in the prestigious Telstra NATSIAA in 2023. She proudly traces her family connection to Coober Pedy back eight generations. Tanya’s great grandfather is credited with naming Coober Pedy (Kupa Piti) meaning white man in a hole in 1920. Tanya paints in layers, building colour and organic forms to represent geographic features of her homelands. Her paintings are her living connection to her country.
