Lance is a talented Western Desert artist and has become well known for depicting his fathers and grandfathers country in exceptional detail, with very fine dot work.
This area is the country some may know through the book 'Last of the Nomads'. It was in this area where that last family walked in from living a traditional nomadic life. Lance is the grandson of the couple who featured in 'The Last Nomads' book. Lance's painting of their journey, which culminated in their discovery at Kata Kata Hills on the Canning Stock Route, is in the National Gallery of Victoria's Collection.
