This painting represents my Great Grandmother’s country; it is an abstract landscape using traditional aboriginal motifs and depicts the beauty and abundance of natural resources available in the region. Women are shown gathering food, depicted by the "U" shapes throughout the work. Various bush foods including bush berries and yams are featured throughout my artwork, as are groups of spinifex grass, campsites, bush fires and sources of water. This area is very important to my family, as this is where we come to find food, educate our young and do business and important Ceremonies.
