Otherside of Gooses Bluff, there's a big swamp. The Hermannsburg school of artists have been painting in the watercolour tradition since the mid- twentieth century, a movement lead by the famous artist Albert Namatjira. Traditionally, the artists painted with watercolour paints on paper. Today, third generation watercolour practitioners based in Alice Springs explore and extend the tradition into new mediums and forms.
